Propelling our thoughts forward leads us to new places ; reading profound, groundbreaking information flexes our mental muscles to continuously propel our consciousness forward. Thus, by igniting new awareness of questions and forging new paths, creation unfolds as a dialogue with the world. The mission of the Tongdi Publishing Department is to discover and connect diverse creators, developing publishing projects based on resources and topics. Tongdi Publications integrates literary and artistic collaborations, thematic field research, foreign-language translations, graphic literature, and photography collections into diverse series, constructing a " Tongdi Narrative " through publication.

Gazing and exploring, combined with field research and creative curation, develop viewing perspectives and experience paths for a city or a relatively unfamiliar town, and use experiences to lead people to destinations they have never reached.

✹How do people get to other places✹

Can we examine the elements that constitute us, proactively respond to stimuli, shift our relative positions, and trigger new possibilities between objects and ourselves, initiating a dialogue? How can we establish a relationship with objects, participating in and driving their future transformation? Rather than fetishizing or being controlled by them, we should let them guide us. Through the experiences brought about by objects, we can crystallize discourse and materialize the high concept of "object system"—the heterotopia of universality.

From the perspective of narrative composition, Tongdi publications can be divided into three categories:

Actively invite submissions → match cross-disciplinary artists and trigger exchanges between different fields → sort out the creative process and design "game" rules that suit each other's rhythm → co-create → produce new types of works, and some of them are converted into text → the results are designed and edited into "dialogue collections".

Dialogue is a way to take our minds to new places. Through play with unfamiliar others, the tension between objects is redefined through language, moving from the known to the unknown. Creators actively manipulate experiences, challenging established and predetermined texts. Whether it's dialogues between people or between people and objects, these traces created through new relationships will become pathways for readers to see things anew.

✹Non -fiction writing ✹Translation project

Profound "experience" leads us to new realms, achieving different stages of self-realization, and transforming experience into creative forms of non-fiction literature. It is a kind of writing that promises to protect things rather than simply measure them. We will observe the city and the occurrence of events, and through artistic perspectives or issue records, we will start with field research and take action. Using our own bodies as a measure and writing as a tool, we will use the perspectives of literary anthropology and literary sociology to preserve those impossible but credible things.

If you have a work that aligns with the Tongdi brand concept and would like to have it available on the Tongdi platform, or perhaps you're interested in collaborating on themed projects through Tongdi, and would appreciate the editors collaborating with you on impromptu, playful writing projects, please provide your creative narrative and a draft proposal. To schedule and evaluate proposals, Tongdi Publishing will integrate cross-departmental resources to plan and design the pre-production phase. Beyond designing the publication itself, they'll test the market and gather feedback through the release of trial copies of peripheral products. This will inform plans for co-sales and promotional activities, ensuring the content is appropriately distributed and circulated among key audiences.
