Through geometric division, Commonplace transforms the circular plate into three equal sections. This carefully designed structure uses visual proportions to create an experience of “parallel forces” and “dynamic coordination.”
Although the plate is divided into three equal areas, they are not isolated compartments. Instead, they are interdependent, forces that move together.
The first edition of the ⅓ Glass Plate draws from the concept of the Troika a structure pulled by three forces, with no hierarchy, no single direction. Movement only emerges through coordination.
Within Commonplace's framework, these three sections also reflect core ideas: objects as nodes, the importance of materials, and movement toward new spaces. When objects become nodes, materials find their voice, and space opens toward elsewhere, these three elements move together, forming the brand’s momentum. In use, you will gradually notice: through dynamic proportions, this object transforms everyday placement into a new rhythm of experience.
■ Production Characteristics
① Due to the firing process and the curved surface of the plate, text and lines may appear slightly warped or visually distorted. This is a natural result of the design and manufacturing process.
② During firing, small air bubbles, flow marks, or subtle textures may occur. These are natural traces of high-temperature glass production and not defects.
■ Care & Usage Instructions
① Wash before first use
Clean with a mild detergent and a soft sponge before initial use.
② Avoid abrasive cleaning
The surface design is kiln-fired. Do not use steel wool or rough scrubbing pads, as they may damage the pattern.
③ Avoid sudden temperature changes
Do not transfer directly from cold storage into a microwave. Allow the plate to return to room temperature before heating.
④ Heat resistance
Heat-resistant up to 200°C. Suitable for serving food, cold dishes, and desserts. Microwave-safe.
Not suitable for ovens, steamers, air fryers, or direct flame.
⑤ Handle with care
Glass is fragile. Avoid dropping or striking against hard objects.
⑥ Protect the surface design
The pattern is fused into the glass surface through high-temperature firing. Minor wear may occur over time. Avoid scratching with sharp objects.
